Director of Development
Kate Duffy
Kate is an experienced, mission-driven leader dedicated to aligning philanthropic investment with the strategic priorities and on-the-ground needs of nonprofits, ensuring that funding drives both meaningful impact and organizational health. As the Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships at SaverLife, she leads revenue growth and cultivates the networks necessary to expand the organization’s reach and influence.
Driven by the belief that all people deserve the opportunity to live in dignity, safety, and joy, Kate has had the privilege of working on behalf of a diversity of nonprofit and social impact organizations over her career, from a Tony Award-winning regional theater, to higher education, to political campaigns. Most recently, she built and led the philanthropic partnerships program at the Center on Rural Innovation -- a national social enterprise dedicated to ensuring rural people can thrive in the tech economy -- during a period of significant organizational growth.
Kate holds a BA in English from Haverford College and a MPP with a concentration in Family Policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. A New Englander by birth, Kate spent over a decade in her adopted hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota before settling in rural Vermont in 2021. Her multigenerational (and multi-animal) household keeps her on her toes and she can usually be found in the kitchen, garden, or enjoying all of Vermont's seasons outdoors.
